Tampa Among Most Tax-Friendly Large Cities
According to a new study from KPMG, Tampa offers one of the most favorable tax structures for businesses among large cities in the US. Tampa indexed at 81.6, indicating that tax costs in Tampa are 18.4% below the U.S. baseline. Tampa was also ranked in the top five across several industry sectors:
- No. 2 for corporate services, including both professional and support services
- No. 3 for digital services, including digital entertainment and software development
- No. 4 for research and development, such as biotechnology, clinical trials, and product testing
