You’ve probably already seen that TIA is undergoing major renovations, which are expected to cost around $1B. What you might not know about are the improvements throughout gate-side seating areas. Airport officials know that modern travelers require charging stations to juice their phones or laptops while waiting for flights. In some areas of the airport, new outlets will actually outnumber seats. Some of the other innovations include the following:

  • Reserving and paying for parking spaces with your phone
  • Answering declaration questions via an app on your phone when going through customs and border patrol (as announced last week here and explained in more detail here).
