David Weekley Homes May Be Our New Neighbor

The Egypt Shriners has owned the parcel that lies between Pelican Island and Sweetwater Cove Apartments for roughly forty years. With A La Carte’s decision to withdraw from the event catering business, the Shriners has decided to sell this land. This will allow the Shriners to direct proceeds and time back to their core mission of helping children. 

As much as we will miss the Shriners, we are also been happy to learn that David Weekley Homes has signed a contract to acquire the property. They plan to develop the parcel into an “upscale, waterfront residential community.”  You may read more online:
