Worried about flying out of TIA for Memorial Day weekend? Don’t be says TIA

You’ve seen it on the news (seemingly every day lately)- growing lines, hours and hours spent waiting to get through security. Not such a concern at TIA reports WFLA.

“In Tampa, things aren’t nearly as bad. Conde Nast reports Tampa International Airport has the shortest wait times of any major airport across the country –  averaging 11.4 minutes.

TIA Executive Director Joe Lopano attributes the short wait times to the airport design. “We have TSA spread out into 5 different areas, so that is a benefit,” said Lopano.”
