Because our four-legged residents are important members of our neighborhood, we work hard to reconnect lost families and their pets. The pet directory offers an easy-to-use way to help locate registered pets’ owners quickly and with minimal hassle. Please feel free to use the form at the bottom of this page if you would like your pet to be included in the directory. We suggest including a few descriptive words about the pet and family contact information.
Found Pet: When a pet is found, please search this page first in order to contact the owner. If you do not find a matching picture, please submit a report so that we may alert all registered site users.
Lost Pet: You may submit a report that will go to all registered site users.
Holly, I think the best way to do this is to add a table. It could be basic (picture with few descriptive words and cell numbers underneath) or it could be a little bit fancier (e.g., sortable columns showing pictures, species/breed, color, street).
I cannot figure out why I was unable to make a basic table work: https://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2013/04/09/table-coding-for-wordpress-com-users/ Although I did add an Excel table just be copying and pasting (below) and you can see the code on the Text tab of this page doesn’t exactly match.

Perhaps install a plug-in? This would also provide more advanced capabilities (e.g., sort features). I have to think that Jim’s company has tables in their other code and could recommend a good plug-in that is compatible with our theme. Here are a few that look plausible at first blush: http://winningwp.com/best-plugins-for-creating-tables-in-wordpress/
I also came across this recommendation in the above article on tables, which seemed relevant at some point:
- Inserting Images in Tables: Copy the image to your computer, upload it to your blog via Media > Add New, click Edit, copy the image URL from the File URL of the Save module, use that URL in the widget. <img class=”aligncenter” src=”IMAGE URL HERE” alt=”DESCRIPTION HERE” />
After the table, I think we should have a Contact Form. (You could use the one for Neighborhood Watch as a starting point.) The form should have a section to REGISTER YOUR PET.
